Welcome Friends and Future Rockhounds

The Ginkgo Mineral Society was formed in 1949 by a like-minded group of friends.
       They:
            - enjoyed spending time outdoors.
            - appreciated the majesty of nature.
            - liked collecting, cutting, and polishing rocks.
These are the primary reasons the Club still exists today.

Our mission: The Ginkgo Mineral Society was formed to promote the education of mineralogy and geology; to encourage the collecting of rocks and minerals; to provide field excursions to mineral collecting areas; and to promote interest in lapidary work.

Meetings are held monthly for sharing stories of rockhounding adventures,
for displaying the latest finds and projects, and for enjoying each others fellowship.
