The Ginkgo Mineral Society has Club social events each year.

In mid-summer, we have a potluck picnic. The Club provides the main entree and members fill in the side dishes and the desserts - oh! the desserts!

In the fall, we have a Rock and Mineral Auction. This is a chance to find some interesting rocks to add to a collection or get a new rock for a project.

The Club is also proud of our educational and service activities.

We have an educational booth at the Chelan County Fair where members fill exhibit cases with beautiful rock art and jewelry. Kids of all ages are encouraged to take home tumble-polished rocks and sometimes special jewelry.

At Christmas, Club members provide gift-wrapping services for shoppers at the Wenatchee Valley Mall. A special "Thanks" goes to the Wenatchee Valley Mall for providing space for our gift-wrapping booth.

At most regular Club meetings, we have a some type of program about how to work with a particular rock or where to find a good specimen or how to identify different rocks or minerals. We never run out of ideas for programs as members share their experiences and skills.

And to complete this list of Activities, we schedule rockhounding field trips throughout the spring, summer, and fall. Most field trips are one day events with an overnight trip the exception. Field trips are planned by the Club when a couple of members or more express an interest in some rock or mine or location.
